The cold plunge for the person who has decided this is a daily practice.
The Pursuit is what a committed home cold plunge looks like when you don't need the integrated form factor of the Summit but you do want a tub built for permanence. A durable acrylic shell — the same material category used in premium spa construction — paired with a separate Beyond Cold chiller and 3/4" camlock quick-connect hoses that stay clean and tidy on the tub side.
Beyond Cold's own product page describes the chiller unit as an "American Made Chiller." That's their claim on the Pursuit specifically, and we let it stand as written — we don't independently amplify country-of-origin claims on our storefront pending Beyond Cold's written confirmation of exactly what language applies to what components (see origin field below).
7,500 BTU of continuous cooling. Same chiller specification as the Summit and Journey — titanium coil, R-32 refrigerant, 37°F to 100°F range, 56 dBA operation. Every Beyond Cold tub is engineered to plug into a standard 110–120V household outlet, so the Pursuit isn't going to force a subpanel install just to run.
A 73" × 33" acrylic tub with a 24" seated depth. Full-leg extension, comfortable shoulder-line submersion, and the visual weight of a tub that belongs in a wellness space rather than a garage corner. Insulated tub cover included — locks temperature in between sessions, keeps water clean, reduces chiller runtime.
Mesh basket filter, cleaned weekly. Simpler maintenance than the Summit's paper filter — rinse it, put it back, and you're done. Beyond Cold designed the Pursuit around the practitioner who wants a low-friction daily rhythm.
Why we chose the Pursuit for the InfraCore library
The Pursuit sits in the middle of Beyond Cold's line — and the middle of ours — for a reason. If the Journey is the answer for "I want to start a cold plunge practice and I want it to travel with me," and the Summit is the answer for "I want the permanent flagship piece," the Pursuit is the answer for "I'm committed, I want it installed, and I don't need the integrated form factor to justify the price ceiling."
That customer usually falls into one of three buckets:
-
The committed home practitioner. A daily plunger who wants a permanent tub in a permanent spot — a converted spare room, a covered outdoor deck, a wellness corner in a finished basement. The Pursuit is the middle-of-the-ladder answer that keeps the practice serious without pushing into flagship pricing.
-
The recovery-focused athlete building a home setup. The performance-edge buyer who's already made cold plunge part of their training block and wants a tub sized for real body work, not a portable form factor. Beyond Cold's own reference customer here — six-time CrossFit Games Age Group Champion Jason Grubb — sits squarely in this segment.
-
The couple or household investing in shared recovery. A tub that's easy to keep clean (mesh basket filter, weekly rinse), quiet enough to live outdoors (56 dBA), and sized for full immersion by any adult household member. Pairs cleanly with a home sauna for the sauna-cold-plunge stack that defines a lot of home wellness suite builds.
If you're any of these — and you don't need the integrated form factor of the Summit — the Pursuit is the piece.
What's Included
Every Pursuit ships with everything needed to start cold plunging on day one:
- Pursuit Acrylic Tub (73" L × 33" W × 27" H · 148 lb empty)
- Beyond Cold Chiller + Connections (external chiller unit, 3/4" camlock quick-connect hoses, black algae-resistant vinyl tubing, GFI-protected power cable)
- Insulated Tub Cover — locks in temperature between sessions, keeps water clean
- Mesh Filter (basket filter, cleaned weekly)
- 1-Year Manufacturer Warranty (Tennessee-based service and support)
Recommended add-ons
Curated maintenance essentials — most Pursuit owners add these at the time of purchase so day-one is fully set up.
- Chlorinating Kit ($39.99) — AquaDoc chlorinating granules + test strip. Extends water-change intervals; the simplest single decision for keeping the water clean with less effort.
- Additional Mesh Filter ($39.99) — Washable, reusable backup filter. Beyond Cold recommends rinsing the mesh filter weekly and replacing within six months of installation; keeping a backup on hand means the maintenance rhythm never delays a session.
- 2-Year Extended Warranty — Add-on line item. Uplift pricing for Pursuit to be confirmed with Beyond Cold (Summit-tier reference pricing is +$150 on the 2-year).
- 3-Year Extended Warranty — Add-on line item. Uplift pricing for Pursuit to be confirmed with Beyond Cold (Summit-tier reference pricing is +$299 on the 3-year). Recommended for buyers building toward a decade of daily use.

Ideal For
- Committed home practitioners installing a permanent tub in a permanent spot (finished basement, converted spare room, covered outdoor deck)
- Performance-edge athletes building a home recovery setup around a full-immersion tub — training-block cold plunge protocols, competitive-season maintenance
- Couples and households investing in a shared wellness suite (sauna + cold plunge is a defining stack pattern)
- Buyers who want a premium acrylic tub with an external chiller (easier chiller access for service or upgrade) — as opposed to the fully integrated form factor of the Summit
- Buyers stepping up from the Journey once cold plunge is an established daily practice and portability is no longer the priority
Installation & Delivery
The Pursuit is a freight-delivered piece and needs a location that can support 940 lb of filled weight (Beyond Cold recommends a floor rated to at least 1,000 lb). The external chiller needs a 120V 15-amp outlet within cord reach (6 ft) — extension cords not recommended; if unavoidable, use a 12 AWG single-tap extension, not a power strip.
Chiller placement matters: it should sit close enough to the tub that the 3/4" camlock quick-connect hoses run cleanly, and it should be in a location that can handle occasional condensation (Beyond Cold notes the chiller and hoses may generate condensation and water spills are possible during setup and maintenance). Outdoor placement is fully supported. If installed outdoors in a climate where ambient temperature may reach freezing, drain the tub and disconnect the chiller — freezing damage is not covered under warranty.
White-glove delivery coordination included with every InfraCore Beyond Cold order. Our concierge coordinates freight scheduling, site-prep confirmation, and — where a Beyond Cold local install partner is available — connects you with professional installation. Your Wellness Concierge walks you through site requirements before you commit.
Safety notes
Do not operate without reviewing the Pursuit Owner's Guide (Beyond Cold has flagged this manual as "coming soon" as of 2026-08-20; InfraCore's concierge will provide a copy on delivery once Beyond Cold publishes it). In the interim, the Summit and Journey owner's guides cover the same safety and operating fundamentals — same chiller, same temperature range, same power spec, same session-length guidance. Never use the tub alone, especially in the first sessions — always have a spotter present. Do not use while under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Do not permit unsupervised use by children (Beyond Cold does not recommend cold plunge use for children under 18). Stop immediately if you feel faint, dizzy, numb beyond expected cold, or unwell. See the Contraindication block below for the full pre-use consultation guidance.
Cold Water Immersion — Wellness Use, Not Medical Device
Cold plunge tubs are wellness equipment, not medical devices. Beyond Cold products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. Cold water immersion is a physical intervention that carries real physiological risk — please read the safety and contraindication guidance below before your first session, and consult your healthcare provider if any of the listed considerations apply to you.
All Beyond Cold tubs and chillers include a 1-year limited manufacturer warranty from date of purchase. Extended 2-year and 3-year warranty add-ons are available. Service and warranty processing based in Tennessee.
Before Beginning Cold Water Immersion
Cold water immersion is a powerful physiological stimulus. Most healthy adults tolerate it well when they enter cold therapy gradually and follow the safety guidance in the owner's manual. It is not appropriate for every person or every condition. Consult your healthcare provider before use if any of the following applies to you:
- Cardiovascular conditions — heart disease, previous heart attack, arrhythmia, or any structural cardiac condition
- Uncontrolled hypertension or a history of stroke
- Raynaud's syndrome or other conditions of cold-triggered vascular spasm
- Cold urticaria or a history of cold-triggered allergic response
- Pregnancy or nursing
- Uncontrolled diabetes, or diabetes with peripheral neuropathy that reduces cold sensation in the limbs
- Open wounds, active skin infection, or recent surgery in areas that would be immersed
- Epilepsy or seizure disorders
- Any condition that impairs judgment, coordination, or the ability to safely exit the tub
- You are under 18 years of age (Beyond Cold explicitly does not recommend cold plunge use for children)
Never use the tub alone. Always have a spotter present, especially in the first sessions. Never enter cold water while under the influence of alcohol, sedatives, or recreational drugs.
Session guidance from Beyond Cold's owner's manuals:
- Beginner: 50–55°F for 1–3 minutes
- Intermediate: 45–50°F for 3–5 minutes
- Advanced: 37–45°F for 5–10 minutes
- Never exceed 10 minutes of continuous immersion without a warming break — prolonged exposure beyond 10–15 minutes increases risk of hypothermia.
During your session: Focus on controlled breathing. Enter slowly. Relax the shoulders. Avoid sudden movement. Stop immediately if you feel faint, dizzy, numb beyond expected cold, or unwell.
After your session: Exit carefully, hydrate, and warm naturally. Avoid hot showers immediately after — let the body's own thermogenic response do its work.
