Frequently asked questions

Small drips come from the port on the bottom. Is it leaking?

No. That is the oxygen port, and small drips are normal — the PEM membrane is preventing backflow. Electrolysis splits water into hydrogen and oxygen; the hydrogen goes into your water and the oxygen vents out of that port.

Can I put anything other than water in it?

No. No electrolytes, no drink powders, no flavouring, no juice. They interfere with the electrolysis process and may void your warranty. Plain clean water only.

Does it filter my water?

No. The Flask infuses hydrogen; it does not purify. Fill it with water you would already be willing to drink — filtered, distilled, or RO.

How much should I drink?

Echo's guidance is one to three glasses per day. Hydrogen dissipates from water over time, so it is meant to be drunk shortly after the cycle finishes rather than poured and left.

Can I use tap water?

You can, but we wouldn't. The Flask adds hydrogen to whatever is already in the bottle, including anything you would rather not be drinking. Start with clean water.
