Frequently asked questions
Do I need this if I'm buying the Echo Flow?
Only if you don't already have reverse osmosis. The Flow requires upstream filtration and provides none of its own, so it needs an RO in front of it — either this one or the one you already own.
Should I buy this and a Flow, or just the Echo One?
The One combines both in a single under-counter system and is worth comparing on price and cabinet space. Buying the RO and the Flow separately makes most sense when you want to stage the purchase or already have one half.
What does tankless change?
No storage tank, so it takes less cabinet room and there is no tank pressure to maintain over the years.
When will it ship?
Echo lists it as on backorder with shipping expected October 2026.

I list this because the Flow needs something in front of it, and it would be poor form to sell you a hydrogen unit without being clear about that. If you already have reverse osmosis, skip this page entirely. Echo has built hydrogen equipment since roughly 2009, they manufacture and service their own machines, and they answered every regulatory and warranty question I put to them without hedging. That is why the line is here.
